SEPTEMBER 2008

September - the beginning of a new church year!

This September, we are preparing ourselves for Back-To-Church Sunday on 28 September, when we can invite friends, family, neighbours & colleagues, to come and join us for our Harvest Service (10:30 am) and Songs Of Praise (6:30pm), so that they can see what we do, who we are, and what we're about. It's a great opportunity for witnessing our faith, and sharing in our hopes and joys as Christians today.

For many people, church has a reputation as irrelevant, staid, boring, and restrictive. But it isn't like that! There is so much about church that is uplifting, exciting, energising, and realistic, and, being part of a community based on love, kindness and care, is really a good place to be.

What Church is about, what humans are about, is relating with one another. We are made to engage in conversation, activities, share in love and care together - we were not created to be alone!

And there certainly is a welcome and friendships waiting for people at ABC. We love being together, worshipping together, relating with and supporting one another.

September is set to be a great month, in the life of our church, and beyond. I hope that, whatever you do and whatever you experience during this month, you will enjoy it and get a lot out of it. Come and join us, be a part of what's going on.

You will always be welcome.
